1st Chapter - What is whisky?

I always wanted to post it the day after i post my 1st one. However,due to work timings I have to delay till now....
So heres my 1st post of the day.
I want to keep things very short and precised...not going to write a composition..
1) What is whisky?
Whisky is a high content spirit ranging from 40% - almost 70%. It was originated in Ireland.
2) What is whisky made from?
It was made from barley basically,
3) How it was made?
Malting > Mashing > Fermentation > Distillation > Maturation
4) What is the difference between whisky and whiskey?
Countries without an (e) they spell it as - Whisky
Countries with an (e) they spell it as - Whiskey
5) Which countries produces whisky?
There are lots of countries that produces whiskies. But the most famous whisky producers in the world are Scotland known as Scotch Whiskies, Japan, USA and Ireland of course. Upcoming will be India and Taiwan followed by Australia.
6) What kind of whiskies we have in range?
Basically we have several types of whiskies, these are the common ones that is on the market.
1) Blended Whisky - Blends with different malts and grains from different distilleries.
Eg. Johnnie Walker,Chivas,Famous grouse,Royal Salute, Dewars, Hibiki
2) Blended Malt Whisky - Blends with different malts from different distilleries.
Eg. Monkey Shoulder, Taketsuru pure malt
3) Single Malt Whisky - A whisky that is blended with different casks produced in a single distillery.
Eg. Macallan, Yamazaki,Hakushu
4)Single Cask Whisky - A whisky that is produced in that particular cask. These whiskies were mainly Cask strength whiskies.
5) Single Grain Whisky - They are basically the same as single malt whiskies but the ingredients used is different. They use grains like corn, rye and wheat.
E.g Chita
6) Bourbon Whiskey - They are whiskies that are being produced in USA. Mainly from Kentucky state. The main grain used is Corn. A very sweet whisky.
E.g Makers Mark
